Score a promo email, fix it, and rebuild it, start to finish

Jon takes a weak promo email through all of Improver: paste it in, score it, tune it up, rebuild it, and save it. Every click is shown on screen.

Paste your copy and pick the copy type

Improver opens on one box in the middle, and that’s where your copy goes. The Copy type menu sits at the top, and your score panel is on the right, empty until you hand Improver something to score.

Pick the copy type first, because Improver edits an email like an email and a sales page like a sales page. There are seven: sales page or VSL, lead, landing page, email, ad, upsell, and headlines. Paste your copy in and a word counter in the corner counts as it lands.

Score It: a Conversion Score out of 100

Click Score It and in a few seconds your score lands in the panel, out of 100, with a radar drawn around it. The radar is Jon’s conversion score: ten elements he has used on every piece of copy he’s written. Conversational tone, plural verbs, reader hook, believability, call to action, litigator language, order of emphasis, reader relief, trim and tighten, and word economy.

The shape of the radar shows you where the copy caves in, and the summary underneath tells you what’s wrong and why, quoting the exact lines that did the damage.

Improve mode: the tune up

Improve It is the tune up. It works five of the ten elements and keeps your structure, so your email stays your email and every line inside it gets tightened. The button shows what the run will cost in credits before you click, so you see the number before you spend it.

When it finishes you get both versions side by side: your original on one side, the new version on the other. Nothing happens to your words that you can’t see.

Highlights: see exactly what changed and why

Click Highlights and every line Improver changed lights up. Hover a line to see the note on it, like reader hook on a subject line or conversational tone on an opening. While Improver fixes your copy, it’s showing you how to write better copy.

Transform mode: the rebuild

Transform Pro is the rebuild, and it works all ten elements. It reads your whole piece first, then writes new copy that keeps every fact from yours: your offer, your price, your links, your P.S. It rebuilds the argument the way Jon knows that kind of copy should be built. Sales letters, VSLs and ads each get their own rebuild formula.

Transform runs in three passes: argument surgery, which builds the case, then meaning surgery, which makes every line felt, then a final gate that fact checks, sweeps out the AI-isms, and scores the piece fresh.

Pull one element up, or just tell it what you want

To get more out of one element, grab its dot on the radar and pull it toward the label. Keep pulling, then let go to improve. That runs one more pass on that one element and nothing else gets touched.

Or type what you want in the chat box, like shorten the close and end on the guarantee. Only that changes, and you only pay for the words that changed.

Ask Jon: his read on your copy

Ask Jon Pro is everything Jon has taught about copy for 20 years, in a knowledge base you can talk to. Ask anything about the copy on your screen, like why the close feels weak. It quotes the price first, you type yes, and back comes his read. One click applies his notes with Transform.

Versions and My Projects

Every run you make is saved as a tab above the copy: your original, version one, version two. Click back to any of them any time. Hit Save, give it a name, and it’s in My Projects with every version, waiting whenever you want it.

Sales pages and VSL scripts

Everything works the same on a full sales page or a VSL script, up to 7,000 words on Pro. Pick Sales page, paste the whole thing in, and Transform reads the entire page for what it sells before it touches a single section, then rebuilds it in your order.
